From chris@bluelectrode.com:
Wow, looks pretty cool. However I'm uncertain whether or not to give low marks
for the use of a post-process filter. Aside from that exquisite image...very
original in style. It looks like a mix between a hand-drawn cell and stained
glass. The figure, bug-ship, house, and sign-post are incredibly detailed and
intriquing in their design.

However, as nice as the image is it's not related to gardens at all, so I have
to give you a low theme score;) Nice try though.

Keep up the good work.

We are supposed to do a ray traced picture. Theme is "gardens".

A very interesting effect.

inappropriate link with the topic. Images must be made for IRTC !

I kinda like this but, well, no garden

From gregj56590@aol.com:
Wonderful scene. I love it. But it looks like you took a pre-existing scene
which had nothing to do with gardens and renamed it.

From whhale@nvl.army.mil:
I dont see a garden. Good job making it look like a comic.

From tom@tomandlu.force9.co.uk:
Where's the garden? I do like the style - there's an artist who does 2000ad
stuff like this.

From ameede@madmac.com:
I really like the effect you achieved with your interest, but the one definig
characteristic between an artist just starting out, as an artist, is breaking
away from visual imagery that is intensely personal and creating works of art
that act as bridges to a larger community.

I really like the contour filter, as a matter of fact I was trying to figure
out
how to do that with POV-Ray. I think it should be relatively simple in
principle, but there's a fair bit of work involved and other priorities get in
the way. An idea to mature for POV anyway.

Otherwise, this does not really look like a garden, but rather like a small
backgarden scrap yard (well I've said the word, but this is not really
relevant) or maybe more like a petrol station, or yet again like a small
country
side hotel. Just to say that I really not convinced by the concept.
Technically I am unsure as my knowledge, I'm afraid is limited to POV, but it
looks pretty well crafted. And it is rather artistic.

From albiaprime@aol.com:
Technical - appears to be a fairly simple image
Artistic - definately looks comic like
Theme - difficult to see a garden here

From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au:
Artistically this is quite a nice image. I'm intrigued by the comic strip
quality.
However, it seems to be totally off-topic, even given the explanation in the
text
file.
