Pretty good, given what you had to work with. It's a pretty picture...but the background is a little too bright.

=====
Well, can't compare to some others but it's a pretty good job for a small computer

=====
The scene looks very "hot." With various parts of the picture blurred, it
looks as if heat waves are passing over the landscape. It, too, looks very
alien.

=====
nice image, dr. moire.

=====
I'm really impressed with your story. Please continue to enter the competition. Don't try to use too many colors. it distracts from the image. The background is a little too bright. If you want an image with a solar flare or something, try making the textures white, like those videos of an atomic blast. all colors go greyscale. But I do like your spirit. Next month is flight. try using a single big light source and it should cut your rendering time (flight might only need the sun). This looks very promising...

=====
I'm impressed that you have that much patience...

One thing that I do all of the time is use numbers like 1.00000001 so that I
don't have things in _exactly_ the same place. At those tolerances, you can't
tell that there is a difference.
=====
Image is co chaotic for me to understand
=====
... I remember raytracing on a 386. you have my sympathy.

=====
Interesting looking objects in the foreground - what are they? The
background black/orange/yellow/white sky is really terrible... The ground
could use some work too.

=====
Very impressive for the hardware u used. (I was using a 386-33 until last year so I understand.)

=====

One of the most beautiful images so far.
Someone give the guy a powerMac!
Reminds me of fractint on my old 286 8MHz! Took a week to render a
3-D landscape and then a rock appeared just in front of the camera!
=====
Sugestion, get out of mac and get an IBM.
The background needs work, but maby those time consuming objects added somthing.
We will never know.

=====
I have to salute your persistence, rendering with a '030 (and NO FPU!!!!!)

=====
Admirable use of an old machine :-)
=====

One of the best !!!!
=====
I think the background could use some work.

=====
That background is REALLY hard to look at. The artifacts on the ground are
a result of the scale of the texture (probably) You maybe can fix that by
scaling ONLY the texture (not the ground object).

=====
Cool image, except for that horrid "sky". Excellent modelling on the ground,
but I had a hard time making sense of the image as a whole.
