The "folding" of the die looks really neat, and I like the part where the
corners are smoothed.
As for improvements: some extra gadgets in the scene, perhaps some more 
machinery, would be more impressing. Maybe one could try making the light from
the dots of the die softer, area lights.

No story.  Didn't make a lot of sense.  Pretty weak connection to topic.  I like
the self smoothing die edges.  The beams of light from the pips (?) were
interesting and nicely done, although that bit of business really conveyed
nothing storywise.
