package org.apache.sis.portrayal

Symbology and map representations, together with a rendering engine for display. This package is currently in early draft stage.

Thread safety

Unless otherwise specified, classes in this package are not thread-safe. A single thread should be used for interactions with all instances of Canvas that are linked together by Canvas­Follower or other listeners. External synchronization is generally not sufficient because listeners may create a graph of canvases, and it is difficult to ensure that a lock is kept during all the graph traversal.

Canvas	Common abstraction for implementations that manage the display and user manipulation of spatial graphic elements.
CanvasFollower	A listener of displacements in a source canvas which can reproduce the same displacement in a target canvas.
Observable	Parent class of all objects for which it is possible to register listeners.
PlanarCanvas	A canvas for two-dimensional display device using a Cartesian coordinate system.
RenderException	Thrown when a map rendering process failed.
TransformChangeEvent	A change in the "objective to display" transform that Canvas uses for rendering data.
TransformChangeEvent.Reason	The reason why the "objective to display" transform changed.
