Short: console music modules player/converter Author: see AUTHORS inside the archive Uploader: megacz usa com Type: mus/play Version: 3.2.2-b1 Requires: 68020+/os2.04+/2 megs+/ixemul48+/[AHI]/[AUDIO:] Architecture: m68k-amigaos mikmod-3.2.2-beta1 ------------------- This is MikMod, version 3.2.2-beta1, a module player for Unix and Ameeeeeega =D --- NOTES: - requires 68020+/os2.04+/2 megs+/ixemul48+/[AHI]/[AUDIO:] - yeas there is AHI support in it, not very complex solution, but does work and you can listen to the modules at nice quality. ; the driver uses dos packets and this causes the whole ui to freeze from time to time, so if you want to browse the menus then hit space before doing so. ; refer to 'README.ahi' for more information. ; AND REMEMBER TO MOUNT THE 'AUDIO:'!!! - user interface requires 'libncurses.ixlibrary', download from here: ( http://www.aminet.net/dev/gg/ncurses-5.5-1-usr-m68k.lha ) ; it actually works with 'amiga-8bit' or 'amiga-h' and it looks great under the 'screenshell' with 'amiga-f', but install also: ( http://www.aminet.net/dev/gg/custom-ti.lha ), ; so you can use 'amiga-fb' or 'iris-mono' under the Workbench and 'iris-color' under the 'screenshell'. ; IF IT DOES STARTS BUT STUCKS AT THE WELOME SCREEN THIS MEANS THAT TERMINFO CAN NOT BE OPENED, PRESS CTRL+C AND RECHECK PATHS AND ASSIGNS!!! - note that the proggy is very cpu intensive, 68040/33 is okay to listen to ~13 channels modules at 8bit mono 22050kHz, so the system is yet responsive. ; however for really smooth playback during your activity in the os proggy needs to have priority above 0. - dont know exactly what is the stack usage, but 100000 bytes should be sufficient. - what is cool in this proggy is that Amiga ppl can finally listen to the Impulse Tracker modules! - for help refer to man pages or issue 'mikmod --help' --- QUICK START: cd libmikmod-3.2.0-bin-m68k/ assign c: bin/ add assign c: c/ add mikmod home=home/mikmod --- megacz@usa.com
