ShadeBobs opens a scalable window on the default pubscreen and shows the well-known shadebob effect (invented by Silents/Crionics in 1991, i guess), only that this version is calculated in a RGB buffer, is written in plain c and runs on your workbench. ShadeBobs uses the RTG capabilities of guigfx.library for drawing the effect to your screen. if your default pubscreen is not driven in true- or hicolor, the buffer is rendered in realtime to the screen's available pens. press the 't' key for a frames-per-second counter. press the space bar for a new display with new parameters. requirements -------------------------------------- - OS3.0 (v39) - 68020 - datatypes.library v39 - guigfx.library v8 - render.library v28 supports - higher CPUs, FPU - OS3.1 - CybergraphX, Picasso96 demonstrated features -------------------------------------- ShadeBobs is a quick hack to demonstrate some features of guigfx.library. - creation of a static palette - the new function DirectDrawTrueColor() the source codes are included. feel free to cut'n'paste or modify whatever you want. guigfx.library is under development. updates, includes, and autodocs are available at the Binary Distillery support site: tek.flynet.de/binarydistillery/guigfx.html legal status -------------------------------------- public domain author -------------------------------------- Timm S.
