Editor's Note: Minutes received 12/20/92 CURRENT_MEETING_REPORT_ Reported by Scott Bradner/Harvard Minutes of the Benchmarking Working Group (BMWG) The Benchmarking Methodology Working Group met on Wednesday afternoon during the Washington IETF meeting. The topic of discussion was mostly the draft of the frame formats memo that is to accompany the methodology memo. The basic document was approved and some suggestions were made for improvement. Both the methodology memo and the frame formats memo will be submitted as Internet-Drafts after the requested editing. A note for the record: The NIC has assigned a block of Class C IP network addresses to be used in the methodology memo. The intent of the assignment is to ensure that, even if a tester is accidentally attached to the Internet, minimal service interruption will occur since the addresses will never be ``known'' to the backbone. The addresses assigned are the Class C networks from 198.18.1.0 through 198.19.254.0.
