IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
Physalis alkekengi, also known as "Chinese lantern", grows large orange-red fruit bags in the autumn. The structure of the bags is very fragile.

My approach is based on colour, lighting and detailed modeling. I wanted to create something that is minimalist, but not empty.

DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Almost everything is modeled with NURBS surfaces. There is a bright 50x50cm key light to the upper right of the image and a 110x140cm fill light on the left side. The fruit bag is bout 5cm in size.
