IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

I was reading the POV documentation, page 150, when I saw a room, an empty room with a scattering media, and I thought : "It's like a monk's cell". A place to sleep, to pray, to read...A place without decorations, useless objects. Therefore, I used script given in example, and added a bed, with a poor cover, a book, a weak candle for the night, a table and a stool, and a little water in a pot. Minimum to live, not?



For the french speaking people..
J'etais en train de lire la documentation de POV, a la page 150, quand j'ai vu une piece, une piece toute vide, avec les rayons du soleil qui venaient de la fenetre, et j'ai pense : "On dirait une cellule de moine". Un endroit pour dormir, prier, lire.. un endroit sans decoration, sans objets inutiles. Donc, j'ai utilise le script donne en exemple, et rajoute un lit, avec une pauvre couverture, un livre, une faible bougie pour la nuit, une table et un tabouret, et un pot à eau. C'est le minimum pour vivre, non ?



DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
The tilings are superellipsoïds, as well as the mattress. I owe the cover to my friend Olivier, the other objects are manufactured in simple CSG. The part is lit by the weak gleam of the candle, the light which comes from the window, and the radiosity.



For the french speaking people..
Le carrelage est fait de superellipsoids, ainsi que le matelas. Je dois la couverture a mon ami Olivier. Les autres objets ont été faits en simple CSG. La pièce est seulement eclairee par la faible lueur de la bougie, la lumiere qui vient de la fenetre, et la radiosite.
