JPGFILE: boystoys.jpg RENDERER USED: Vue d'Esprit 2 (FREE with cover disc of PC Format magazine Aug 2001) TOOLS USED: MicroGrafx Picture Publisher-for making textures (Bundled FREE with Plustek scanner) RENDER TIME: 10h 56m 53s HARDWARE USED: Retired HP Vectra with 166 Mhz Pentium and 40Mb IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A bunch of off-duty toys playing a game of football (soccer), with an enthralled voyeur. I was tempted to call the image "Rabbit Loses His Shirt"... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Most of the models where made in Anim8or (FREE from www.anim8or.com), and exported as Wavefront obj's, (or 3ds for the complicated meshes and converted to obj's using Keith Rule's Crossroads - www.europa.com/~keithr/crossroads). The pitch board was drawn in MS Word (Yes, Word) using a down-loaded jpg as a template. Then it was "print-scrn-ed" into MicroGrafx (and then subsequently "crayon-ed" after advice from a friend who works with kids for a living). The wallpaper started as some objects arranged in Vue with the camera pointing upwards toward a night sky. After rendering, it was tiled in MicroGrafx and used as a texture for the walls. I haven't included a zip of the original - 'cos of all the models the uncompressed file ran to about 17Mb...phew. But if you're interested in any of the models, pls email me.
