TITLE: Work In Progress NAME: Katy Levinson COUNTRY: USA EMAIL: katicli@comcast.net WEBPAGE: none TOPIC: Great Inventions COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: kl.jpg RENDERER USED: Bryce 5 TOOLS USED: Rhino, Bryce 5, paint RENDER TIME: unknown - between half an hour and an hour HARDWARE USED: school computer (512 RAM) home computer (128 RAM) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: the victor 833 was an imported model I modified and the texture on the side of the soda can was also imported and modified. The lamp was lit with a combination of two lights. First the bulb is semi-transparent so a small spherical light inside can come through making it glow correctly. The spotlight comes from a second light. Paint was only used for making textures like the loose leaf, which never came out anyway after the picture became small and the lines merged. It was also used for the soda can side. Overall I would call this a learning experience. The image got compressed too small and the lines on the paper went oddly. The objects I put a lot of detail into like threads on screws are too small to see and I compressed it too small. I also missed a lot of class and ran out of time meaning I have about half at best as many models as I wanted to put in the scene. I think my next entry will be much improved over this one.
