Here is the current topic. So, I think that the idea of martians or other people on other planets is one of the cultural myths of the last century. Actually, there is a lot of things orbiting around March, and wandering on it, perhaps they will discover... the little green men !
This picture represents the martians of Gusev Crater, near Sleepy Hollow, waiting for the lander Spirit, the first of the two americans landers. The martians are green, of course, they play width balls, or dance together, not far from their homes.
Perhaps, I am closer to Bradbury than to Wells, so, my martian are not agressive.. they don't want to kill humans, they are more curious than dangerous, and funny too.. I hope you will smile looking at them !

Le sujet "Mythology" fait aussi référence aux mythes passés ou présents. Tandis que plusieurs objets gravitent autour de Mars, et que les deux landers américains nous envoient d'extraordinaires photos de cette planète, j'ai pensé aux Martiens, à ces petits hommes verts que nous n'avons pas encore découverts, mais qui existent peut-être. Toutefois, comme je me sens plus proche de la poésie de Bradbury, que des craintes de Wells, j'ai conçu mes martiens comme des petits êtres qui aiment jouer, qui dansent, qui attendent l'arrivée des appareils terriens avec plus de curiosité que d'agressivité. J'espère que vous les regarderez en souriant !

First, a lot of thanks : Marc and Martial, of the POV french newsgroup who helped me for the text written on the sign. My friend Olivier, who have explained to me how to put the random rocks, and the wonderfull website : http://www.economy.demon.co.uk/isotut/  on isosurfaces.
Thanks to this site, I tried a lot of examples, adapting them to my project, for the martian towers, the legs and the hats of the little men, the mountains and the rocks and the ball, too. All the other things are very simple shapes.... including the arms of the martians, a simple loop of modified spheres.
No area_lights, It was too much long for rendering...

D'abord, un grand merci à Marc et Martial, du forum francophone 3D.Pov-Ray qui m'ont aidée à écrire le texte du panneau "routier", ainsi qu'à mon ami Olivier, qui m'a expliqué comment semer des cailloux de façon aléatoire. Merci enfin au site fabuleux http://www.economy.demon.co.uk/isotut/ qui m'a donné plein d'idées pour des formes originales. J'ai essayé beaucoup d'exemples, les adaptant à mon projet, pour les tours martiennes, les jambes et les chapeaux des petits hommes vers, certains rochers, ainsi que le ballon. Le reste est fait avec des formes toutes simples, y compris les bras des martiens, une simple boucle de sphères un peu modifiées.
Pas d'area_lights, bien trop long à rendre....
