IMAGE DESCRIPTION: 


        Not much to say, I was just going about my daily affairs when all at
once I had a vision of something similar to this image.  In a dark forest, a
strange twisted tree standing in a clearing with lighted orbs embedded into
it's roots and in the air around it.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 


        I modeled the foreground of the scene in the brilliant, fantastic, and
free Wings3d and then exported to Pov.  I also modeled the other plants in the
scene and put them into a separate include file.  The scene was then  arranged,
textured, and rendered with Povray.  Finally the gimp was used to create/edit
the image maps used in the scene, and to gamma correct and convert the image to
jpeg.
