Tried to let some randomness and process enter the work.  The portrait is based on a self-portrait painted by Miro.
I really didn't envision the result.
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
Portrait was modeled in Wings3d, converted with Poseray.  The vertices and indices were then extracted manually and used to generate the lattice.  The background is a plane with a bozo texture layered then some object patterns layed on top
