Dual PIII 400 MHz, 1 GB RAM, SCSI HD, ATI Fire GL1 for the Rhino work. IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The car and the house are models bought from Infografica. The grass and the tree making the shadows were downloaded from 3DCafe. The man and the tools were modeled in Rhino 2.0 then imported to MAX where they were textured. The monkeywrench are highly detalied (more than the image shows) and were reversed engeineered from one in my own toolbox. This I made to learn Rhino better. The hammer is made form several extrusions and mirroring and the handle is a loft. The screwdrivers handle is a revolve, the rest is firsta cylindre and at the end a straight sections loft. The man were made with help of a photo of friend who posed in two views for me. These I used as viewport backgrounds in Rhino, helping me to outline him. Then i used the cross section tool so i could sweep something. I chose two of the outlines (I got four from the photo, two from each view) and used 2 rail sweep with my cross sections ending up with the first leg. The same procedure was used for the next. For the shoes, I simply took my own boot of and put on the table in front of me for a rough guide of the contours. I started with the line between the sole and upper part of the shoe. Imade the outline in the topview, then I made another line in the right view following the heigt of it. Usig the curve from 2 views tool I got a nice startpoint for my shoe. Ithen extruded it in parts downwards to get my sole, then booleaned out the pattern with simple boxes. The upper part I made with four outlines that i lofted to get my shoe. The rust texture on the handle on the toolbox were downloaded from NewTek. The whole scene was assembled in MAX. After everything was modeled, I assembled it in MAX and set up the lighting. One Daylight system is used. Rendered with Radiosity. to get the rigtht angle for the view I made a hundred frame animation saving stills to jpeg over night and chose one with a good angle afterwards. I use this method a lot since I have no time rendering during the days....
