IMAGE DESCRIPTION:

This was an easy one for me.  When I was training in CAD years ago I got 
a project to draw this light bulb in 2D AutoCAD.  At the time this was quite
a complicated procedure.  When I saw the subject title, it seemed like the 
obvious thing to do.


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:

I took some old images from the internet.  I did all my 2D work in AutoCAD and
imported the lines in to 3DS viz.  With a bunch of lathes, lofts and a bit of 
mesh editing I had a full model.   The materials in this are mainly wood and glass.
I used 3DS Viz's build in effects (colour balance, contrast, film grain) to produce 
the final image.
