After reading some of the poems, I decided to depict several kinds of loneliness. A bar is a common place to try to overcome loneliness and sorrow, so I decided to chose a bar for my scene. My wife also has Irish ancesters, so we both would like to go to Ireland soon. When I get there I'm sure that I will head right for a real Irish pub and see what they really look like. The bar is named after my Irish ancesters of the Dalton clan, but all of the alcoholic beverages bear the Boston label. I could be virtually rich, if I don't drink up all of the profits. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Most of the image is made using CSG. The people are converted from Poser to POV using OBJuvPOV. The bricks were made from a macro that made the image that I converted to a TGA file and applied as an image map to save computer time. I'm fairly new to macro writing, so the macro is crude, but it worked fairly well for the bricks in this picture. The pictures on the wall were taken with my digital camera. The girl in the window was scanned from an old black and white photo. The zip file contains reduced files that will give most of the picure except for the large images and Poser Objects. The file will runs using POV 3.5, but can run on 3.1 by removing some of the finish items. I'm not sure that the main file will run since I made some last minute changes, but the file that I also included to make the bricks should work.
