===== From jaime@ignorancia.org: I must admit that the photo is integrated very well, at least in terms of perspective (the green parts can use some correction to match the greens on the image). The central tree seems almost from the photo... anyhow, it's only a "1 second" impression, and then it becomes too evident it is a background photo. Nice image, anyhow... ===== From henry@unforgettable.com: v nice: use of the photo at the back works really well. maybe the grass blades are a bit big tho...? ===== From maarten_hofman@hotmail.com: I'm not sure if you can speak of "liking" a picture like this, but it is a quite good graveyard. Unfortunately, graveyards seem to be a common theme in loneliness. ===== From cherii@att.net: I like this one very much, except that the headstones look too small in comparison with the grass and the butterfly. I was not able to view the real cemetary using the link you provided. ===== From : Very pleasing image. The vegetation to lighting looks very nice. I am impressed. BTW, for stones over a hundred years old in a forgotten graveyard, arn't they looking too new? Some textures would of helped to dirty them up if this was your intent. ===== From rgow@calweb.com: It looks a little "too" much like a photo. ===== From awilcox@dreampeach.com: Those grass blades are thick. The background image blends very nicely into the foreground, well done. ===== From jpgargoyle@sapo.pt: Nice pic. The grass is out of proportion. Looks too big to me. Best regards. ===== From dapigg2000@yahoo.com: 2 macros, a repetition in models and a photograph background. Very plain. ===== From suso@suso.org: Perhaps the grass could have been a little denser and more varied. Usually if grass grows that high it becomes unruly. ===== From rclee@oklahoma.net: Trees and grass look good. Stones look a bit too clean. ===== From glenn@mccarters.net: The trees look especially realistic here. Quite bushy and full. = Background is a good choice. It would be nice to see just a bit more = variety in the stones besides the writing. The grass, of course, is = much too coarse. ===== From scandia3815@yahoo.com: Quite an exceptional image, the grass and leaf colors are very natural, and the background comes quite close to matching the foreground and not just looking like a backdrop. Kudos! ===== From bill@apocalypse.org: the scale of the grass seems too big compared to the stones (blades should be smaller). Trees and background landscape look great. ===== From p_chan@shaw.ca: You have done a good job in creating the appearence of hilly ground using the trace function. The transition from rendered foreground to image_map backround works fairly well, although that darkspot behind the butterfly seems out of place. Some variety of shapes for the tombstones would also be nice. On the issue of rendering speed, you also seem to be using more grass and trees than you have RAM to handle (I assume the 857034166 is the peak memory used number, which exceeds 512Mb). This means you're using virtual memory, which slows down render speed drastically, which in turn explains the 4 day render time. ===== From patrick@sypa.net: The grass looks too long or big ??? But overall great picture. I like the way the background fit in the picture !!! ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice trees, and the butterfly looks good. Grass isn't bad, but could use some work. I think more could be done here to develop the concept of loneliness. ===== From jl@artcom-gmbh.de: Beautiful landscape modeling, only the grass in the foreground seems to be too big. ===== From gailshaw@mweb.co.za: There seems to be something wrong with the scale. Either the stones and the butterfly are very small or the grass is very big ===== From clem@dhol.org: The butterfly makes this a cut above most of the many cemetary scenes in this round. The scenery, which implies life going on for the not-dead, helps. Iti is well done. ===== From r@131.san-francisco-13-14rs.ca.dial-access.att.net: Notable for composition
