JPGFILE: hiver.jpg RENDERER USED: free softwares Vue d'esprit 2.1 (render), Amorphium 1.0 (modeler), Spatch (modeler) TOOLS USED: PaintShopPro 7 to save in .jpg RENDER TIME: about 11 h HARDWARE USED: PIII 933MHz, 256 Mb ram IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Winter in an ancient time. But is seems this guy will never feel this cold atmosphere ! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: At the beginning, I tried a classical winter scene. Then I add the idea to add extra details, like the skull, the sword, the barrel, the castle. The castle is from nono's site http://membres.lycos.fr/adosnon/index.htm The plants are from guitta's site http://guitta.i.am/ Rock, Wood and Castle textures come from lemog's site http://perso.club-internet.fr/lemog/lemog_textures/acc_textures01.html The snow is a default material from Vue d'Esprit, but I have increased the diffuse component The sword and the barrel were created by me with spatch. The Rock was created in Amorphium 1. The fog is to create a cold a atmosphere. I also tried to give light and shadows effect on the foreground snow. Vue d'Esprit settings are : - all shadows are blured for the materials - all lights are soften at the maximum possible - a small depth of field effect for the camera These settings tend to increase the rendering time.
