HARDWARE USED: Duron 600MHz 384 Mo RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Probably the fortress the most difficult to take. It's most effective defensive weapon: indifference... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: For this round, I had difficulties to find an interesting subject. I'm not very fond of architecture, and I didn't want to make a "classic" fortress. As the time went, the probability I would not enter this round was greater and greater (plus I started some others images for myself....) One of these images involved a test of isosurfaces with radiosity, and I came with iso-cylinders on a calm sea under a procedural green sky... and a lonely woman on top of a cylinder... and then, I decided to enter the IRTC once more !!!! But the time was short (less than 10 days, including a 2-days trip in Italia for my job). So, the mines were borrowed from an entry of the Sea round (Gerard Mansoif, don't remember the title of the pic), with my own textures. They were placed randomly around the woman's cylinder, and a second iso-cylinder was placed by hand, with a man on top, staring with envy in the direction of the woman... and that's all. I wanted to use an isosurface for the sea, but the render time was already too long (finished on april the 30th...) Except poser models, the POV source is given, and I would like to thank Gilles Tran for convincing me to enter this round.
