===== From : This is an example of how texturing helps an otherwise simplistic scene work. Your aged copper statue texture has too dark a green. ===== From batronyx@cadronhsa.com: Rather effectively illustrates the futility of vanity. ===== From marlo.steed@home.com: The concept was great! The fragments needed to look a bit more like fragments... Two things I think would have helped. Pehaps give the fragments a depth so even if it is hollow it appears to have a bit of depth to the surface (pehaps you a combination of bump and stencil map for that affect rather facetizing the object. I think to keep the body parts some what in proximity to their location on the body would have helped as well. For instance, if the statue fell to the front the head would be the closest thing you see and the other body parts would be dispersed according to their arrangement on the body with some variation dependent on random movement of the fragements on impact. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Nice scene... good use of textures, and I like the shaping on the pedestal. ===== From tom@tomandlu.co.uk: I like the stonework, but the statue dynamics and interior seem wrong. ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: You should have given a few more words on how much of the models and textures you did yourself, concept and lighting look nice. ===== From youknow@ucan.foad.org: This is rather bizarre. The concept is solid and the execution of it is as well, but it lacks what the French call "I don't know what">. ===== From delfeld@mailcity.com: Epistemology: I am awakened by the pungent scent of you. Never have I known such eyes still holding me, filling me, creating me in a thought or two - idle in you, but effevescent in me and I know you never will care to know. Axiology: I wreck myself with the non-persistence of your longing. I crack a smile seeing you bowing, so I stand in your awe, receding more and more into you, as you completely turn from me, scorning in your obsession with something else. Ontology: I am nothing. . . but suddenly you break into my revery of negation with a song, a question, a sigh, a shirk of the shoulders, bare and exposed and ignorant of me. Can I go to pieces at your feet? Honor me with your ignorance!
