TITLE: The Garage COUNTRY: United Kingdom WEBPAGE: www.rayjay.clara.co.uk RENDERER USED: MegaPov 0.6a TOOLS USED: Paint Shop Pro 6.02 / Web Graphics Optimizer RENDER TIME: 7m 16s (I only got the T-Bird working 2000-12-31) HARDWARE USED: AMD 1.1GHz T-Bird IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Contrast of Intensity Contrast of Saturation Contrast of a Child's toy (the ball) and his older Brothers toy (the car) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: I had major computer problems during December so this scene is no way near complete :-( The car was generated in sPatch with a bump_map to add hood and door details. The window glass is made from just 4 triangles, 2 define a finite white plane diffuse 1 with no shadow (so that I didn't have to work too hard on an outside :-), and the other 2 define a finite plane with a multilayered procedural texture to provide "dirt" on the windows. Intensity contrast has been increased by increasing the value of the only light to 1.5 and by decreasing the brightness setting withing the radiosity block. Saturation contrast was achieved by using HSI<->RGB conversion macros to desaturate all colours except those used in the ball. (I've split these macros out into another file so that you can use them without having to search through the source.) While loops and random variables were used to place the cardboard boxes and paint cans. MegaPov's focal_blur and soft_glow were used to soften the background. The zip file contains all the required scene files to render the scene plus the image in its original PNG format.
