I play Angband, and various variants of it. I was playing a game of Zangband, and I came up against a monster called Moire, Queen of Rebma. The description sort of caught my attention: A woman sat upon the throne... and her hair was green, though streaked with silver, and her eyes were round of moons of jade and her brows rose like the wings of olive gulls. Her mouth was small, her chin was small; her cheeks were high and wide and rounded. A circlet of white gold crossed her brow and there was a crystal necklace about her neck. At its tip there flashed a sapphire between her sweet bare breasts, whose nipples were also bare green. She wore scaled trunks of blue and a silver belt, and she held a scepter of pink coral in her hand and had a ring upon every finger, and each ring had a stone of a different blue within it. She did not smile... So, I decided to try modelling her. I had just begun trying out sPatch, so I used the head entitled 'Ona', which was done by Anto Matkovic. I altered it quite significantly, to try to better fit the description. Everything else in the scene was modelled by me, mostly using sPatch. I had to make a few adjustments to the original idea. Instead of having just a woman on a throne, I had to put her in her element [sort of punny, since she's queen of water :P~~~~], so I put her in her throne room, and added fishies. Yes, the eel is a moray. It's a reminder of one called Bob the Evil Bastard, who lived in our fishtanks at home, after being caught by me accidentally, for a few years. That's pretty much it. I stuck a bit of constant fog in as well, to try get the slightly murky water effect. i think it could have been better done using media, but I havent quite figured out how that works yet :P. Anyway, I think I should go home and apologise to my PC for putting it through at least two renders a day for the last two weeks. Oh, and yes, I know that there are problems with her torso. By the time someone else pointed them out to me, it was a bit late to alter them. Next time... As a final comment, this is the first scene I have ever completed. I started a couple of others a year ago, but they were on my boyfriend's machine, which went bang in a big way, so they're history. No big deal. They sucked anyway. Cheers Jen
