===== From bfranke2@home.com: Your are right, there does seem to be a gamma problem here. The animals are ok. At least you gave it a try, that's more than I can say for myself. There is something odd about the lighting. Only the three small plants seem to cast shadows. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: Your watering hole looks really good. Your fog seems to me a bit too thick, it obscures the filtering effect of the trees. Your trees look great nice attention to detail. Your animals look too skinny. Add a fatter belly and then I think they would look very realistic. Overall not bad for being out of your element. ===== From bonsalva@bellsouth.net: Look very surreal. As far as blobs- I would not build a CSG model first. Just build the thing with blob spheres and use the strength with distance to get what you need. ===== From warp@iki.fi: The objects are perhaps a bit too simplistic and the textures could be better. The same for the lighting. ===== From dearmad@sapere.com: funny horses with knees. ===== From mark.wagner17@gte.net: Everything in the image seems too "stiff". ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Seems to green for me, many details get lost, I like the various plants you made ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Not that bad, but you could've used the green a bit more sparingly. The color balance should help details to pop out, but now some interesting parts are hidden in the greenish darkness. The topic is a damn rough one for people using POV-Ray text editor only - taking the tools into account you've done quite well :-) ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Some of the models seem to have a "cardboard cutout"-look. I think better lighting would improve this. Judging from the shadows under the flowers, the scene must be sunny. But the rest of the image is dull and overcast. Perhaps a brighter sunlight source, along with a more distinct mask to simulate the forest canopy, would help. ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic - a balanced picture, but background and sky colour (cough, Cough) :) needs some work. Still you are progressing quite nicely skill wise. A good effort artistically for a newbie and impressed that you did what you did with just POV Ray. You clearly have talent. Don't Give Up! Looking forward to your next entry. Technical - excellent construction and technical notes in your TXT file. A lot of demanding hard work in here for someone still new to this. Very impressed by rocks, those foreground flowers and your grass texture. Also impressed with how you made your animals. may I suggest you get the modeler Moray 3.1 and try it out (it works with POV Ray 3.1) Concept - definitely a wilderness (go ahead Stephen you've earned a sigh of relief) 8-)
