===== From rjhansen@hotbot.com: Very nice image. I especially like the terrain and plants. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Great normal/hfs. I love the crackle. Stones and plants are also ok :) But for a desert scene, I prefer a more hard lighting, to reinforce the "desert" impression. Very nice and hard work in any case. ===== From tony@j4tb.com: One of the better images this round. You lizard looks great and your techniques leave me wanting to try some myself. Your description of the different things was interesting. (Do you watch Crocidile Hunter By Chance?) Your desert tile is amazing I didn't realize it was tiled till I read it and then I had to look real close to see it. ===== From javaearl@hotmail.com: Great cracked desert floor (sure enough, it is tiled.) Very nice Gila Monster. ===== From warp@iki.fi: Your area light is too wide. A narrower area light could have given a bit sharper shadows which would have worked much better with the apparent direct sunlight. Did you use radiosity in this image? If not, then I don't understand your description about using a sphere to illuminate the scene. Btw, using a shadowless area light is more or less waste of time. ===== From luisvaloyes@malditasea.zzn.com: I really like this scene, the lizard looks cool, the textures are excellent and the entire scene looks fine, but I think that the stones don't look like desert stones, they have too much reflection to be dry, they look a little wet, I think ===== From chris_hormann@gmx.de: Very impressive, excellent detail work, only looks somewhat unreal (lighting?) ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Nice choice of scene! A good floor texture you've got, although it would work better on a slightly smaller plane. The repetition is a bit too blatant now. A bit sterile maybe, but definitely original. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: This is a nice scene. The cracked desert floor looks great, and the rocks have a very natural look. The gila monster looks good, especially the coloring and marking. Nice work. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Scene is vivid but almost too-brightly lit, as if it takes place in a laboratory. Good textures. The Gila monster looks quite stiff. Do they really have smaller back legs than forelegs? ===== From albiaprime@aol.com: Artistic - not bad at all. nice Technical - a lot of good work Concept - it's set in the wilderness ===== From file: Notable for modelling ===== From file: Clearly this image is the work of a brilliant genius.
