Yellowish from the right and blueish shadowless from the left. The castle is simple CSG. To make the masonry look more realistic, I added some turbulence to the brick pattern. I am not completely satisfied with the pale gray, which resulted from the black and green pigment gradients. I ruined the castle by taking the difference of it and a heightfield. The same heightfield is used for the mountains and the water. The moat is a scaled torus. The debris is made with a macro. 500 boxes, randomly rotated, translated and broken off. (I think the inventor of the random function deserves a statue.) To avoid pieces of debris floating on or hovering above the water, I took the difference of the debris and the torus of the moat. I spent a lot of time in choosing the right texture for the fence and the pieces of chain attached to the portcullis and the bridge. Unfortunately, the chains are hardly distinguishable. Finally the clouds are media, contained in a very large, very flat box. There are still problems with my ZIP-file. The sourcecode of my submission is available on my webpage.
