===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: good. Needs better textures. good modelling. ===== From jgrimbert@atos-group.com: I found the sky a little too much purple :-) ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: This is great!!! My only complaint...Why does it look so grainy? ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: Very nice. Something about the tree line doesn't feel right, but the rest works out very well. ===== From chris@bluelectrode.com: Detailed, yet simplistic. The wood texture could have been a little browner. Overall, good job. ===== From ddombrow@vt.edu: This one my favorites. Reminds me of Andrew Wyeth's "Christina". ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nicely done. ===== From mibmlr@hotmail.com: Fantastic clouds! The barn looks a little airy, almost like you could blow it down. It needs some more rafters, supports,... Wagon is good. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: The interpretation of the theme is not the most original, but the realisation is just fantastic. One of the best, if not the best submission of this round. Turned out first in my final vote ! Clouds, this stupid wood preservative that kills all the colour, iron bound cart wheels, the field, trees in the distance, and the sagging barn, yes everything looks so well so much in harmony with the run down feeling that this scene provides and nature power being slowly restored. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Nice interpretation there, a welcome change from the usual house-and-stones-stuff this round. I like the board texture on the wagon, it looks fairly real. Good use of CC's bending macro there, by the way. I must say that the walls look a bit too thin, but maybe it's just my eyes. Do you guys have that high-magenta and -cyan clouds out there? At least Finnish clouds are considerably less CM-saturated. ;-) I think the image must've suffered slightly from JPEG conversion, since there are quite a few "wandering pixels" in the foreground. Too bad, as the hay looks pretty nice. ===== From jrcsurvey@aol.com: I love to see that cloud technique understood and used well. You've kept the whole image simple and effective. ===== From chris_darcy@yahoo.com: Nice picture. Great clouds. Good feel. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: The sky in this picture is impressive... it has a real feeling of depth to it, which adds a great deal to the realism of the overall scene. The barn really looks like it could collapse at any moment. ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Wow! Awesome composition! I like very much the view, and also the arrangement. I only disagree a bit in the coice of some colors, but that's a taste matter... but what I most like is to see how a simple idea of mine can derivate on such nice clouds. They are really "puffy clouds": I really like them... thanks for the mention, but you really mastered the technique. I must look at the code... ===== From clem@dhol.org: The clouds and grass are great. The tree line works very well. The modelling and textures of the barn and wagon work too. I am impressed with the layout of this image. The details of this image, like the gentle curves of the ground, all add to the effect. I'm looking for a suggestion or criticism to make, but I just can't find anything. Excellent job. Your best work yet. ===== From mar@physics.usyd.edu.au: Great barn, great sky. Very good modelling on the wagon and grass, and the tree is fine for the size it shows up at. This is really good. The sagging barn effect is briliant. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Beautiful work here, great sky, nice looking meadow, the method you've used for the trees has worked well and really adds something to the image. The only problem with this is colour, too much gray on the barn, the wood colour is too close to that of the roof. Good use of Chris' bend macro. ===== From file: Notable for composition, lighting ===== From file: A Nice ruin. Very Unique. I live in new england and I see this often. Notable for originality
