===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: nice lights ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Everything has a very fake feel. Some dust, a halo on the earth. Stars of different size and colors. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: The concept is good, I like the color and lighting... there just wasn't a compelling object or sense about the image.... perhaps lacked detail. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: An interesting concept although I think that by now, after all these years of observation of the moon we ought to know about any trace of ruins on the surface. And anyway, I would not expect ruins of this type, but rather some advanced technology/materials. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Quite nice and balanced lunar scene, especially if you're new to 3D graphics. I was left desiring some sort of additional light on the foreground, as your shadows were nearly black, and the astronaut figure lost some of its perspective to the lack of light. The starfield is pretty restless to my taste; one tenth of that amount would've sufficed, and the brightness/size-ratios could have been more varied. Definitely a good start! ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: Not bad... I like the columns and the surface of the Earth object. The figures seem a little simplistic given their prominence in the scene, and I'm not sure about the look of the starry sky. ===== From c.bunker@plymouth.ac.uk: nice for a first attempt with a program . The Photoshop Clouds filter will automatically tile if you se teh canvas size to a multiple of 64 pixels on the side . a better star field can be produced by doing the clouds filter with black and white, doing the noise filter to this set to monochromatic and guassian, then adding a new layer set to darken above that and doing the clouds filter again . ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: Good lighting, but the earth and the background don't look all that realistic.
