===== From ekaiser@camden.tds.net: nice. Would be way better with radiosity ===== From whhale@nvl.army.mil: Nice lighting effect ===== From ddombrow@vt.edu: Some softer shadows and a little bit more ambient light might help here. Still, nice image. ===== From marlo.steed@uleth.ca: Nice work! the textures needed a bit more work.... but the atmosphere and everything else... great. ===== From Alain.Culos@bigfoot.com: I agree with you, using such a powerfull tool is just too easy, but when used well, as you did, not only is it smashing, but I think it can be viewed as appropriate. The position of your man is very successful. I don't like the so straigh line of the broken ceiling though. ===== From jouni@mikrobitti.fi: Nice Poser modelling. Having never tried it, I just have to believe when you say it's easy. And when so, I must wonder, why you left the other scene so simple? One Poser model doesn't carry this one to the top ranks, but I feel that there would be potential in using that figure in a major role as a part of a more detailed scene. Btw., where did you find that hideous pastel cyan/green you're using in the pillars? ;-) ===== From chris_darcy@yahoo.com: Poser. Mmmm! Tricky. ===== From StephenF@whoever.com: This is a nice picture... I like the light coming in from above to illuminate the center of the scene. Other than the figure, though, there doesn't seem to be much complexity to the scene. (not that a simplistic scene can't be good... just given the subject matter I think it would work better if it had more detail.) ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Very nice ambient. Good feeling of the topic. Excelent composition. Only needs some more imperfections, perhaps. Good Poser job (easy? for you, of course). ===== From clem@dhol.org: One of the few scenes this round where a Poser person improves the image. In most others, the person is just thrown in, but here it is needed to tell the story. The darkness and poor detail on the back wall hurt this image, as does the excessive fog. What little detail the back wall does have is only visible with considerable fiddling. Lose the fog, add detail and interesting artifacts and improve the lighting (maybe give the archaeologist a nice bright torch or flashlight?) and this image would be far better. A promising start, but it needs some tweaking. ===== From sjlen@ndirect.co.uk: A good image, some nice texturing. The only thing that this is really missing is an object of interest for that human to look at, he appears to just be looking at stones and bricks. Great atmospheric feel to this work. The textures could have all been done in POV or MegaPOV, no need for psp. ===== From file: Notable for lighting, composition, textures
