DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The walls and floor are boxes, with an imagemap to create the cracks between the bricks. The imagemap was drawn freehand in Paintshop Pro and was the second (mainly transparent) texture layer. The magic symbol is just some CSG'd shapes, as is the altar. The wall mounted torches are again simple shapes. The "glow" from the torches is actually caused by the the lightsource reflecting on the walls. An accidental effect which is a lot quicker than using a media or halo effect. The pit monster is made entirely in Spatch. Its skin uses a small scale crackle as the normal to give the bumpiness. The bones are CSGs of cones and spheres randomly placed. The ripples in the pit liquid were created using a heightfield as just using a normal ripple effect didn't give enough depth The lantern is a mixture of cylinders and boxes with a Brass texture.
