DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

First come to grips with the theme, minimal blood and algore. 
Waking up in bed with an knight chesspiece is too POV-Ray. 
Monica's head might be off topic depending upon tastes. 

PhotoShop for wallpaper color map, nice faded lilac, gamma 
correction and format conversion

The cockroach is spheres and cylinders. 

The eyes are hexagon maps, yellow, green, black. 

Antenna are a hundred small spheres. 

Each curved part of the candelabra legs is 800 boxes with 
rotation as it moves. The waxcatcher part is a difference of two 
superellipsoids. 

The mirror frame are quarter sections of a torus with the wood 
grain rotated to the long axis as in normal woodworking practice.
