JPGFILE: tbunb.jpg RENDERER USED: POVRay 3.1 TOOLS USED: POVRay 3.1, Moray 3.1, sPatch, PhotoShop RENDER TIME: 4d HARDWARE USED: Pentium 133 96 Mb IMAGE DESCRIPTION: I'm writing this few hours from dead line. My computer just finished rendering (YES!) after days of unbelievable computing. You'l probalby wont belive me, but it is unbelievable 4'o clock in the night. I think I should go to get some sleep so I will try to be unbelievable short with this text. You will probably see that the basic unbelievable thing in the picture is tree which grow on desert sand. In the begining, there was only tree and desert, but after some time I decided to add something funny so I created alien and his ship. Do you like his sun glasses? :) DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Height field is created in POVRay using average function on bumps and gradient pattern. HF was rendered in 1000x1000 resolution with hf_gray_16 so that I get HF with more levels. Height field is positioned and scaled in Moray. Ship is also created in Moray. Model of the alien was created using sPatch, exported in MDL format and positioned on the HF near the space ship. The most complex part of the image is tree. I wrote my own algorythm for creating trees. It uses 14 while-do loops for generationof tree, and consist of my own 6-7 macros. Algorythm for tree is not finished yet, but I will try to finish it this month, and put him on my web. Bye.
