TITLE: Desktop NAME: Txemi Jendrix Inspiriens (J.M.Gonzalez-Pinto) COUNTRY: Spain EMAIL: tji@euskalnet.net WEBPAGE: at http://www.geocities.com/SiliconValley/Lakes/1434/ and you'll beamazed of its plugins. I used: A disk for the ground. A heightfield made with Fractint for the mountain at the background. Another heightfield, created with leveller, for the lamp's base. The brilliant is from a free inc file called gems.inc. The pen is a CSG object made with spheres, boxes and 3 torus. The wood for writting is another CSG object made with two superellispoids and one sphere. The dolphin is a free object originally in 3ds format. The sea urchin was made with 3Dstudio. There are only two lights in the scene, one into the lamp and another to the left, using fade power and fade distance in both. And a lot of textures of all kind (standard, layered, material, etc.) The whole image took me about a week. I hope you enjoy it. Have a good summer. Bye Txemi Jendrix Inspiriens. MUSIC USED: XTC's "Apple Venus Vol.1" IMAGE DESCRIPTION: Excuse me for my bad english, maybe someday I'll learn more (or I won_t). Isn't it unbelievable what can be done with a computer and a very, very good freeware? You can make your ideas appear in the screen. I've tried to show it, and on the other hand, I find it as a self portrait of me, divided in two halves (left-reallity vs right-oniric). I don't know, but I find a relationship between the clock and the sea urchin, the pen and the boat, the city blocks and the world, and of course, the lamp and the photography are me. As a friend of mine said, it looks surrealistic. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THE IMAGE WAS CREATED: First of all, the acknowlegments: Mike Clifton, who made sPatch 1.51. The clock, the lamp, the mouse and the photography were created by myself with it. If you still don_t have this program, what are you waiting for?. Download it from http://www.cableone.net/alyson/spatch.html The boat and the hand are free models made by Anto Matkovic using sPatch, if you like modeling or you want to learn more about sPatch and other programs, go to his webpage http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Studios/7415/, a must visit. The city blocks were created using the Chris Colefax City.inc plugin,if you like PovRay and don_t know who is this guy, visit his
