DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
I decided I would try fooling around with the randomize button in the materials editor.  I didn't know what I would make at the time.  Eventually, this entire image just started to appear.  All the textures are slightly tweeked random textures--except for the water, which is a variation of the swirling water texture.
