First Encounter of tyre with tarmac, there is a 'chirp' sound and a small puff
of smoke.
The small plane is landing on a country airstrip.
If you like, it is the first encounter with *this* airstrip. 
Or maybe a student pilot's first landing!


DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: 

This image was hand coded in PovRay.
All of the image is new and original.
Made from memory and some fuzzy photos (funny how you can't find a decent photo
until the image is finished, then they turn up everywhere). Nothing fancy or
complicated here, mostly simple CSG. The height field is made in PovRay with
wrinkles texture. The smoke is a halo.
The red 'plane exists only as the parts you can see plus a couple of rough
shapes to throw shadow.
