TITLE: Surprise! NAME: O.I. EMAIL: tlp_oh@hotmail.com TOPIC: Water COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: surprise.jpg ZIPFILE: surprise.zip RENDERER USED: POV-RAY 3.02 TOOLS USED: Moray 3.01 Spatch Blob sclupter Pen and paper IMAGE DESCRIPTION: DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: (Sorry for my bad English...) I'v been Ray tracing for about six months, but until now I'v always used a modeller for the entire scenes. This is my first trial using POV-RAY script. Almost each object of the scene was created in Moray, but the placement, scaling, lightning and texture adjustment where done by hand, using POV-RAY editor. The mice: each mouse is built from 3 blobs: The head, the body and the tail. That allowed me to use different poses for the mice. The eyes and ears are simple spheres CSG's. The toothpaste and the tooth brush body were modelled in Spatch. The brush fibers are cones. The plate is a spheres difference, encircled by smaller spheres, with a radial normal. The star soap, the plate and the tap body were modelled with Spatch. the sink and the bottles are lathe sweeps. The hand watch is a simple csg of POV primitives. The idea for the plant was taken from Derek Owens' Plants include file. I tried to use this great include file with the scene, but POV always crushed for some unknown reason. So, I had to create each leaf and place it myself. For any more information, please Email me.
