===== From jknepley@chisp.net: You have a great start on an excellent environment, but it needs more detail. Notable for concept. ===== From agage@csee.usf.edu: Nice glow and attention to detail. ===== From jerry@hoboes.com: Really nice texture on the pipes. Humans are a bit clay-like. I guess I'd like to see something happening here also. It's too cool of an image not to give it some artistic statement. ===== From Sean_Hamilton@amrcorp.com: I'm not familiar with 'heavy water', and although this is a cool scene, I can't really see the water. Does it's heaviness affect it's look? Does it ripple different? Does it have iredescence? ===== From gregj56590@aol.com: Human figures provide nice balance, increase interest. Scene creates a feeling that something foreboding, highly technical, and possibly dangerous is going on. A sense of awe. ===== From pmccombs@hotmail.com: Yes, the blue glow makes this image good. ===== From jamez@xover.ml.org: try again, buddy! ===== From catchpol@netspace.net.au: Besides the fact that heavy water does not glow, the men let the picture down slightly, along with the machinery ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: A very good image, really. I think some of the textures are too strong and have too much contrast, but in general, they, too, are as excellent as the blue glow. (Although heavy water as such does not glow, it is not even radioactive, only a little bit heavier than normal water. "Super-heavy" water (T2O) is radioactive, as it contains the radioactive isotope Tritium.) ===== From johnson@pharmacy.arizona.edu: Lots of nice detail, but there are two obvious problems (to me) The Catwalk needs a railng on the other side, too, and the transition between the floor and the water leaves a lot to be desired. Maybe an overhanging lip, like on a swimming pool? ===== From jaime@ctav.es: Nice composition. Nice coloring too. Perhaps needs more golden lights castings shadows here and there. Good modelling, detailed. The dirty textures are a fine touch. Great job! ===== From Varyk@aol.com: It's called Cherenkov (sp?) radiation, given off by particles travelling = faster than the speed of light in water. Very neat image. Workers in ra= diation suits are one of the few times a rendered figurine can look total= ly real. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: You achieved your goals admirably. Good creepy glow. Good modelling and lighting. What is the purpose of three valves in a row on the same pipe? Is it me, or do all the small pipes stop when they reach the water surface? Good image overall. ===== From jesse@kesmai.com: Great idea! The glow and color contrast is great (although most of the reactors I've seen are better lit ). Interestingly enough, that 'blue glow' cannot be reproduced on paper as that particular frequency of light only comes from radioactive decay. radioactive decay ===== From r@tk156239.telekabel.at: Notable for textures, lighting ===== From r@tk156239.telekabel.at: Wow - the blue glow is great. The details in the reactor-room are also very nice, the human models could be better (but that is difficult, I know...;)
