DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: A first submission to the IRTC and even by those standards it leaves plenty to be desired. I wanted to create a scene with a shaft of red light emerging from the open dome in the mist and a haloed moon in the sky. The observatory is spotlit by two ground lights and there's a bluish light in the background to suggest a distant city. The tree is the sample provided with Johannes Hubert's TreeDesigner, exported into a UDO file and imported into Moray 3. I didn't get the effect I wanted and am still in the early stages of using Povray. If anyone can advise me on using fog, mist and atmosphere in Moray 3 to get those shafts of light I would be grateful.
