DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Human model, clothes, shoes, book and lampshade were modelled and exported to POV-meshes with Rhinoceros beta ( http://www.rhino3d.com/ ), using probably the all Rhino tools. Some concepts of NURBS human modeling and basic examples are available at my HP. Silk-quilt was done from human model, using curve projections. Textures, lighting and the rest of objects in scene were made with POV-editor. All textures are procedural. Because human skin is transparent, I've used layered texture. First layer is something like rgb <0.99, 0.55, 0.54> (that is flesh) and second is rgbf <0.93, 0.99, 0.93, 0.33>, with very different ambient-diffuse parameters. This producing larger differences in saturation than a standard texture, even without coloured lights. Lampshade have two objects. Inside is no_shadow object, outside is object what casting shadows, but texture is filtered. Meshes aren't included in the source file (that is about 30Mb: quite right punishment for no using BMRT, which can raytracing NURBS directly), but there are three gif images with rendered isoparms, all textures and the rest of scene code.
