The final result, which you now see, is exactly as I had pictured it in my mind. I realze that the moon may be too big, but this was done as it was the approperiate size to balance the image. Some of my friends had pointed this out to me and my only comment to them was simply; "I like it that way". I think the Image speaks for itself. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: From top to bottom: The Stars: Photoshop bitmap I created from scratch The Moon: Web page that generates images of the moon on any given day. I tried for Apr 30th 1998 but that was a cresent moon, so this is what the moon looked like from Ottawa Ontario on March 12th 1998. Sorry I lost the web page that gave me this great picture map. The Water: This is actually a flat box with some trickery on the texture. Getting the water just right took about 15hrs of tweaking over a period of three weeks. The Dolphins: These I stole from www.3dcafe.com in their free mesh section. I have had these meshes for quite a while. I have been working on drawing my own dolphins sence the onset of this competition though I just couldn't get them to look correct. I copped out on the 23rd of April and went with the free mesh from the web. I did have to make some 'minor' modifications to the meshes for the final image. That's it. The image is only about 10objects in all. Very short and simple. Please enjoy this as much as I do.
