===== From roth@ens.ascom.ch: too many colors, too many reflections. otherwise quite original. ===== From djconnel@flash.net: This one is AWESOME. This is an incredibly original interpretation of what is a truly lifeless device -- it deserves to be on the cover of a device engineering textbook. The fundamental contribution of the transistor makes it extremely topical -- it gets my vote for winner. BTW one reason I like it so much is I was actually considering doing an SOI NFET for this contest, but gave up on it as I wasn't sure it could be effectively rendered. The clarity, novelty, and artistry with which this device has been done, a device of far greater significance than the SOI NFET, shows the error of this judgement. My only fear is the subject will be outside the specialized knowledge of most of the voters. djconnel@flash.net ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: The image is unreconisable without the text description of the parts. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: Very nice...the coloured spotlights might have made the render take longer then you liked, but they certainly contribute to this being an interestingly colourful image. The transistor itself is reminiscent of abstract sculpture, and is very nicely made. Nice image! ===== From chipr@niestu.com: Very pretty image, if a bit abstract. Good effort for such a short time spent. Nice concept. ===== From gmccarter@hotmail.com: Interesting concept. So many colors and reflections make this visually confusing. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Very decorative. Will take your word for it on the accuracy of the representation! ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: I like the idea, but the image is far too colorful and confusing, rather than showing detail. ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: Nice mood lighting; and original topic. ===== From r@auasc14-178.flash.net>: Brilliant! This is an amazing interpretation of a semiconductor device. It gets my vote. I just fear not enough of the voters are familiar with what it is. Notable for modelling, originality, composition, textures, lighting ===== From r@dial-up35.webbernet.net>: Considered as abstract art, your transistor has a very interesting mix of colors and textures. The rune sig is nice.
