I was reminded of the fact that one of the most amazing engineering feats that I have ever heard of happend this year; the cloning of a sheep. I started thinking about what we would do with an unlimited supply of sheep and more importantly, where would we keep them. While this image does not attempt to resolve the storage issue, it does attempt to visualize it. Enjoy! DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The most difficult part of this was to create a wooly body. After many failed attempts to use textures, I decided to create the body and the hair out of spheres. By using some trig functions and the random function I created a sphere of spheres. The legs are simple cylinders. The head, eyes, and nose are simple spheres. All of the sheep were created with a while loop and some simple math. There are 50 rows of sheep in the image. The camera include file was something that I created for my animation. There are default parms in the include file so that you only have to specify the parms that you need for a particular view. Using this camera it is very easy to quickly change your view of an image. This camera is also useful if you are doing animations with the camera moving.
