===== From djconnel@flash.net: Subject is okay, but engineering isn't stressed. The model needs further refinement (stairs, grass, altar...). The viewpoint and lighting could be better chosen, as well. The "patio" is a nice touch. ===== From castlewrks@aol.com: Scale is a problem in this render. There is one scale at the top of the pyramid, and another in place in the flat area in front of the pyramid. ===== From sonya_roberts@geocities.com: The patio in front of the step pyramid is interesting, though it's pieces are extruded perhaps a bit too far above the surface. The viewpoint would have been improved if the camera had been off about 10-30 degress to one side, rather then being placed dead-front-and-centre. The jungle is rather dark; is it meant to be a nighttime scene? ===== From chipr@niestu.com: The floor or slab in the foreground is *very* nice--the rest of the image seems quite weak in comparison. The hills behind are especially distracting. ===== From ethelm@bigfoot.com: Good idea. Needs more work to make a more realistic image. ===== From bsieker@techfak.uni-bielefeld.de: The grainly texture is way too strong, also the lighting is very boring, and the camera is far too high up, making the epyramid look very small and unimpressive. (like a model, really) ===== From lpurple@netcom.com: The pyramid is too blocky and needs refinement. The background is also a bit too plain (maybe a blurred jungle texture instead). The spiral embossed designs are very well done. ===== From r@dial-up42.webbernet.net>: The plaza in the foreground is nice. The background has a lot of moire. Antialias or or compression artifacts, perhaps? The light and camera angles or the ambient and diffuse need adjusting to keep the sides of the pyramid three dimensional. They are blending together and look flat.
