I love the surrealist painters of this century, especially René Magritte (1898-1967). 
Looking at a book with reproductions of the artist (Magritte, edited by David Larkin,
introduction by Eddie Wolfram, Ballantine Books 1972) the idea of reproducing the
painting 'La réponse imprévue' by raytracing entered my mind...

The coordinates of the prism (outline in the door) were determined by using a grid
on a transparent paper put on the reproduction in the book.
