TITLE: Shades of an Age NAME: Daniel Corley COUNTRY: USA EMAIL: dcorley@umr.edu WEBPAGE: http://www.umr.edu/~dcorley TOPIC: Magic COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. JPGFILE: shades.jpg RENDERER USED: POV 3.02 for Windows TOOLS USED: My brain, a pencil, PSP 4, sPatch, Fractint RENDER TIME: 2h 12m HARDWARE USED: Pentium 133 w/ 48 Megs of RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: The spirit of the Unicorn looks down upon the ruins of it's last memorial in an ancient land. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Here's a quick summary: * Used my brain and some graph paper to lay out the columns, base, and architrave. The broken ends of the columns and architrave were created using intersections with a height_field produced by fractint. * The mountains were hand-drawn in PSP 4, then run through a POV filter scene that I created to smooth them out. * The image map on the moon was hand drawn by me in PSP 4. * Used sPatch to model the Unicorn statue and the pedestal it is standing on.
