JPGFILE: erendere.jpg RENDERER USED: NuGraf TOOLS USED: Fractal Design Poser, Terrain Maker, Terrain Forge, Rhino Beta. RENDER TIME: 2 hours HARDWARE USED: Pentium 100 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A pond scene with fairies and a crystal ball viewing a magician and his assistant. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The figures were posed using Poser, and output in 3ds format to NuGraf. The U/V implicit texture maps for clothing and bump maps for muscles were made from Poser templates using Photo Workshop. The hills were made by using Terrain Maker to generate heightfield images and Terrain Forge to smooth and output the images in 3D DXF format. Most 3d objects (water lilies, plants, wings, wand) were created using the beta version of Rhino, and output as 3ds(polygons) or IGES(for NURBS) format. Object manipulation and texture creation was done in NuGraf. The mist feature of NuGraf was used. The water used a bump mapped image generated using a top view and the Nugraf wave procedure. Reflections for the balcony and the water used the NuGraf planar reflection mapping for these instances. The scene contains 870,000 polygons.
