JPGFILE: cgsmagic.jpg RENDERER USED: NuGraf TOOLS USED: Fractal Design Poser, Terrain Maker, Terrain Forge, lpaser, Lsys32, Rhino Beta. RENDER TIME: 1.25 hours HARDWARE USED: Pentium 100 IMAGE DESCRIPTION: A garden scene in which a magician suspends his assistant in air, with a little help from fairies. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: The figures and statue were posed using Poser, and output in 3ds format to NuGraf. The U/V implicit texture maps for clothing and bump maps for muscles were made from Poser templates using Photo Workshop. The hills were made by using Terrain Maker to generate a heightfield image and Terrain Forge to output the image in DXF format. The plants were made using the Lsys32 interface for lparser to obtain a DXF format. Most 3d objects (fountain, hedges, columns, cape, wings) were created using the beta version of Rhino, and output as 3ds(polygons) or IGES(for NURBS) format. Object manipulation and texture creation was done in NuGraf. The mist feature of NuGraf was used. Images used as bump maps give the definition for the hedges and lawn.
