IMAGE DESCRIPTION:
School has always existed, and will exist for ever. What
we learn is different and so is the way we learn. But
maybe one day people will forget what the truth was,
and learn false things about us and our ancestors. This
image shows what people may learn about prehistoric
people in a few years. They may learn that there were
schools in caverns too.
DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED:
This image is made of 2 images:
 -The first picture (grotte.pov) represents the cavern.
Walls are heightfields generated with TerrainMaker. A picture
of real prehistoric drawing is mapped on it. The picture
comes from Lascaux, France. Tables are created with some
superellipsoids. The flame is a simple halo. The most
difficult problem was to add lights which could correspond
to the shadows on the wall mappings.
 -The second picture(fabook.pov) uses the cavern generated
before with a mapping on the first page of a book made by
a parametric Bezier patch object. The transparent page uses
a normal bump pattern. Most of the other objects are
transparent and filtering light. Shadowless texts were added
inside these transparent objects. Pens are transparent too
with halo inside. The whole scene was rendered with radiosity
on.
