EMAIL:cgallego@nordnet.fr NAME:Claudio 'Naxos' Gallego TOPIC:GLASS COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. TITLE:Neo-Punk Cinderella COUNTRY:France WEBPAGE:http://home.nordnet.fr/~cgallego RENDERER USED:Alias 7.5 TOOLS USED:Alias 7.5 RENDER TIME: 51h12m37s (1 processor) HARDWARE USED:Onyx 256mb R4000 IMAGE DESCRIPTION:144979 triangles, Memory used(kb): 37995 It is a 90's version of Cinderella, a neo-punk version ;^D ... DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Ok, for this one also, i used Alias, because ... Yes, DepthOfField and Glow effect is GENERATED by Alias, and you can notice that ther is a bug in it : the d-o-f function of Alias is a post-process (like glows), and it does NOT blur anything in the refractive part of objects...But ok, it looks good like that :). I can only say that the effect onto the coussin is a displacement mapping : I first rendered from top view (not in glass, of course ;^) then i used Photoshop to design the map... Then i put a long noise bump map onto the glass shoo, to prevent to have a "too-pure-nice-glossy" effect, and to be more realistic.
