EMAIL:gasimpso@novice.uwaterloo.ca NAME:Greg Simpson TOPIC:Glass COPYRIGHT: I SUBMIT TO THE STANDARD RAYTRACING COMPETITION COPYRIGHT. TITLE:The Morning After COUNTRY:Canada RENDERER USED:Pov-Ray 2.2 TOOLS USED:Moray, Photoshop 3, brain (not very reliable) RENDER TIME:uh, while I slept HARDWARE USED:Pentium 120/32 Mb RAM IMAGE DESCRIPTION: As morning reared it's ugly head one dreaded sunday, I peered out from under the blankets on my friend's couch to see the wasteland left from the night before. By some power by no means mine, I managed to open my other eye, and actually focus. Then it hit me. A blazing feeling welled up from deep within me. I couldn't help but think it. "I gotta pee". So I got up, and in the process saw that there was a bunch of glass stuff on the table. This could work for the IRTC, I said to myself. And so here it is. DESCRIPTION OF HOW THIS IMAGE WAS CREATED: Everything was modelled in Moray, thank goodness for repeating orbital copies! The lable of the beer bottle was done in Photoshop, as was the conversion to JPG, and adding name/e-mail/title. The label is something that I dreamed up, not to be mistaken for any advertisment for any beer currently available. I did peel off some lables from bottles, and was gonna scan them in, but the computer of guy who's scanner I use died just last week. Just my luck. The 640X480 size is because of time restrictions. I got to the 27th of the month before I realized that is was February, and this stuff was due by the 28th. So I whpiied up a quick render of an unfinished picture just to submit something. I've just missed the deadline the last two competitions, so I thought I'd get something in!
